Rain Halts Play at Brisbane Tennis Tournament

Jan. 4 -- The start of the 2010 ATP tennis season was pushed back one day, as rain halted Sunday's play at the Brisbane International before three men's first-round matches could begin.

Women's singles in Brisbane began and a men's doubles match featuring the American tandem of Andy Roddick and James Blake was played before weather put a halt to the action. Roddick and Blake posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over American Travis Parrott and Czech Jaroslav Levinsky.

Seventh-seeded Jeremy Chardy of France was slated to play Colombia's Alejandro Falla, while eighth-seeded Tomaz Bellucci of Brazil was to face Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela. Also, an unseeded match between France's Marc Gicquel and Germany's Philipp Petzschner was pushed back to Monday.

Monday's first-round schedule at the Australian Open tuneup also includes Roddick, the top seed, against Australia's Peter Luczak and second-seeded Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic against Aussie wild card John Millman.

The first major tournament of the season, the Australian Open, will begin on Jan. 18 in Melbourne.

Roger Federer DVDs carries complete match DVDs, such as his historic win in the 2009 Wimbledon tournament, in which he broke the record for most Grand Slam victories, or his classic win over Rafael Nadal in 2007, as well as many other major title wins.
