BNP Masters Tournament to Determine Final ATP Spots
Nov. 10 -- The BNP Paribas Masters is the last tournament before the season finale in London which decides the final rankings for the year. Six of the eight spots are secured with the several players still in contention for the final two openings.
The Paris event is held at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, an indoor sports arena. First round action started Sunday with play to continue through out the week.
Currently Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Juan Martin Del Potro and Andy Roddick have clinched their spots. NIkolay Davydenko and Fernando Verdasco are sitting in the seventh and eight positions respectively.
Robin Söderling, Fernando Gonzalez, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Radek Stepanek and Marin Cilic are the other players who still have a chance at the last two berths. Some are admittedly long shots but so far the year end tournaments have had some surprising results.
The semi-finals will be Nov. 14 , with the final scheduled for Nov. 15 at 9 am on the Tennis channel.
Roger Federer DVDs carries complete match DVDs, such as his historic win in the 2009 Wimbledon tournament, in which he broke the record for most Grand Slam victories, or his classic win over Rafael Nadal in 2007, as well as many other major titles.
